Our Traveling Rocks
The inspiration for our products!
“Grief Relief Rocks” was born with the intention of providing a moment of relief to the aching heart of an individual experiencing grief. We began our journey of providing these moments through "traveling" rocks in 2017.
The name, Grief Relief Rocks can be taken in one of two ways, the rocks bringing relief to our grief or just the fact that some relief from our grief, “rocks!”
Sometimes we just need a short reprieve of some sort or breath of fresh air to renew our faith and to keep us moving forward in life.
The simple placement of a “grief relief rock” in random places is meant to provoke thought and insight or to simply bring comfort and peace to the individual who finds it. The finder may “need” to hold on to the rock for a bit or simply place it right back where it was found or even move it to a new location for someone else to find and enjoy it.
The idea is to portray an image on one side of the rock and then on the opposite side to provide the symbolism or meaning behind the image.
We all want to see the journey these rocks are taking, so if you ever find one of our rocks, please share a statement or story or picture for us on our Grief Relief Rocks page on Facebook or post it on Instagram using #griefreliefrocks and also include the city and/or state the rock was found in so we can see the miles these rocks are traveling to provide some grief relief!
In 2022, we began selling our tumblers. Our main focus is to create a product that inspires positivity and can help an individual see that they are not alone. In 2023, we began selling our Grief Relief Rock Plushies. These are crocheted rocks designed to be a "friend" to anyone who just needs a little extra something in their grief journey. We like to think of them like a pet rock, only squishy!
By sharing our journey of grief with others, we are helping each other.
